In the first of many such Christmas posts, here we have a Japanese Christmas cake catalog from the Tokyu Department Store. In Japan somehow Christmas is a cake holiday. On Christmas you eat cake and chicken and give presents. I can’t explain it. Anyway, nobody makes the cakes themselves, it seems. They order them. The cake pre-orders for Tokyu began last month and run anywhere from $30 to $60. The fruity cakes look the best to me personally. I’ll stick to Christmas cookies.
And, here are some isolated cake shots for the food porn posterity.
